Chicago, Illinois January 12, 2009 – Intelligrated introduces a new feature of their Conveyor Control Software, InControlWare® at ProMat 2009. This new feature enables product to be accumulated and conveyed properly even if they are longer than the zones established by the motorized driven roller (MDR) conveyor. This new feature is called Long Carton Logic.

Prior to this software development, if product was longer than the zone on the MDR conveyor, it would most likely cause a jam at the photo eye that would require physical removal of the product in question. This would cause a major disruption in operations, resulting in downtime and a loss of productivity that could affect a company's bottom line.

Solutions provided by others to solve this dilemma included removing or reducing the ability to detect jams, thus compromising the machinery, or the use of double zones, which drastically cut the rate of conveyance. The Intelligrated Long Carton Logic feature of InControlWare eliminates the problems caused by other solutions by providing dynamic zone length adjustment. This allows customers to eliminate jams caused by longer products without sacrificing rate and also maintaining zero pressure.

Long Carton Logic handles a wider variety of product which decreases non-conveyables and increases operation efficiency.
